There is more to Penang than Georgetown e.g. Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Temple, Batu Ferringhi but if you just want to chill out at Georgetown for this trip, this is recommended itinerary for you. This is more like a 4 Day 4 Night itinerary since you will land on Friday night – this way, you can maximise the 3 full days you have in Penang (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). 

Day 1 (Friday)

  • Arrival at Penang via Tigerair TR2428 at 8.30pm
  • Check-in to Hotel Jen Penang (20-30 minutes drive away from Penang Bayan Lepas International Airport)

Day 2 (Saturday)

  • Begin our 4 hour Chauffeur Drive Package with Hotel Jen Penang covering
    • Street Art Murals along Lebuh Armenian – Children on Bicycle, Dolls, Child Reaching Out
    • Street Art Murals along Lebuh Ah Quee – Child on Motorcycle, Bruce Lee Kicking

    • Visit the Pinang Peranakan Museum
    • Famous Penang Teochew Chendol
    • [Lunch] Assam Laksa, Hokkien Mee and Kueh Pie Tee at Joo Hooi Café (Jalan Penang)
  • Shopping at Prangin Mall – buy Hotlink data SIM cards for on-the-go Wi-Fi needs when travelling around Penang
  • Shopping at 1st Avenue (connected to Prangin Mall by linkway) – Aeon supermarket at top level of shopping mall
  • Dinner at New Lane Hawker Centre e.g. Hokkien Mee, Curry Mee

Day 3 (Sunday)

  • Drive around UNESCO World Heritage Georgetown e.g. City Hall, Fort Cornwallis
  • Along the journey, drive to 3 street art mural locations – Kungfu Girl, Trishaw Uncle, Indian Boatman (these are huge murals worth a visit but not in the Lebuh Armenian area)
  • Visit the Khoo Kongsi
  • Walk around Lebuh Armenian shops (catch up on any street art murals you might have missed on Day 2)
  • [Lunch] Tiger Char Kway Teow at Ping Hooi Coffee Shop and Pitt Street Koay Teow Thng at Carnavon Street
  • Visit Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
  • Explore more art murals at Hin Bus Depot Art Centre
  • Dinner at Padang Brown Hawker Centre (try the Roti Babi and Seafood Popiah!)
Day 3 involves quite a number of places around Georgetown and taking public transport might not be convenient - we engaged a private guide from www.tour-incentive.travel – the cost is RM75 per hour for a limousine (Toyota Camry) with English speaking chauffeur. If you are engaging Tour & Incentive Travel, I strongly recommend you ask for Philip to be your guide/chauffeur as he is a local Penangite with good knowledge of the best eating places and where to find most of the street art murals. He is very patient and understanding and will accommodate to your needs.

Day 4 (Monday)

  • Visit the Chew Jetty – a stretch of houses on stilts – here, you can find souvenir shops and some dessert stalls and see a way of living of these water villages
  • Check out 2 more street art nearby – Children Playing Basketball and Children on Swing with a bonus of Minion Breaking Out of Wall
  • You can consider taking the afternoon to explore other parts of Penang e.g. Batu Ferringhi or Penang Hill or just chill out with one of Penang’s many interesting museums e.g. Upside Down Museum, Glass Museum, Camera Museum

Day 5 (Tuesday)


  • Depart from Penang via Tigerair TR2427 at 10.20am for Singapore
