Attention💢KWSP reminds members aged 100 and above that if there are still funds in the EPF, they must be withdraw.

According to a report by China Press, the EPF urges members who still have deposits in the EPF to make their withdrawals by December 31st this year; otherwise, the related balances will be transferred to the Unclaimed Monies Unit (BWTD) of the National Accountant General's Department.

As per an official announcement on the EPF's website, the organization is in the process of contacting members who are aged 100 and above and have not yet made withdrawals from their EPF savings.

Claimed using IC or KWSP number

The EPF agency points out that members or relevant beneficiaries can inquire about unreceived savings balances using their identification card number or EPF membership number.

"If members or their beneficiaries do not claim the unclaimed savings balances before December 31st this year, the related funds will be transferred to the National Accountant General's Department's unit for unclaimed funds."

The official website also indicates that after the funds are transferred to this unit, claims applications will need to be submitted to and processed by that unit.
