A major fire incident has occurred in the Kepong Metropolitan Park Industrial Zone, with two factories catching fire simultaneously, causing billowing plumes of thick smoke, prompting nearby residents to urgently call the fire department!

The fire broke out at around 10 AM in the Kepong Metropolitan Park Industrial Zone, specifically on Jalan Metro Perdana Barat 11. It is believed that a printing factory caught fire due to a suspected machinery malfunction. With a large quantity of paper stored within the factory premises, the fire quickly became uncontrollable, spreading rapidly.

A spokesperson for the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department confirmed that they received an early morning report about the fire at the mentioned location, involving two factories. Firefighting personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene to initiate firefighting operations.

Current efforts by the authorities are ongoing, and it is yet to be determined if there are any casualties.

The printing factory fell victim to the raging flames, and the fire intensity was fierce, causing adjacent factories to be engulfed in the inferno. The intense fire burned for approximately 2 hours without weakening.

On another note, the Fire and Rescue Department dispatched at least 4 fire trucks, 2 aerial ladder trucks, and a water tanker to the scene for firefighting efforts. However, as of 11:50 AM, thick smoke was still emanating from the burning factory, and there were no signs of the fire weakening.
