1. Bukit Tunku (Kuala Lumpur)

Bukit Tunku is now a high-end residential area for many officials, wealthy individuals, and celebrities. However, there have been numerous rumors of ghostly legends associated with Bukit Tunku in the past. Stories include motorcyclists mysteriously disappearing in the dark, the Pontianak (a Malay vampire) wandering around, and strange sounds echoing in the night. These are the ghostly tales that have emerged from Bukit Tunku!

Many adventurous individuals and YouTubers like to explore Bukit Tunku. One of the residents claimed that a suicide occurred in the house and the person's spirit is said to still reside there. Adventurers have reported sudden drops in room temperature, strange scents appearing out of nowhere, and orbs of light floating in the room.


2. Highland Towers, Bukit Antarabangsa (Kuala Lumpur)

The shocking collapse of Highland Towers is a story that originates from insider accounts. A person who knew a family residing in one of the Highland Towers units shared the tale. The family consisted of a husband, wife, and a maid. During the incident, the wife was preparing food in the kitchen, the husband was showering in the bathroom, and the maid was on the balcony with a baby. The maid, familiar with signs of earthquakes, sensed the building moving and immediately shouted to the homeowners. However, due to their locations, they were trapped and unable to escape. Luckily, their unit was on the second floor.

The maid jumped from the balcony with the baby just before the building collapsed. She witnessed the entire building collapsing and heard screams of horror around her. This tragic incident led to the collapse of one of the towers and the deaths of at least 48 people. With so many victims losing their lives in this accident, it's not surprising that the place is associated with numerous ghost stories.


3. Genting's Mysterious X Hotel

This might be unfamiliar to many! This is known as one of the places with the most restless spirits. Some were heartbroken women who chose to end their lives, while others were desperate gamblers. The 21st floor of the hotel is said to be haunted, and the elevator skips this floor. There are rumors that a body was found pressed under a bed, and another claims that a famous prostitute was murdered there. However, the true reason behind this phenomenon remains unknown.

An abandoned building nearby has stories of ghostly cries, echoes of strong winds, knocking sounds, humming, screaming, footsteps, and sightings of supernatural entities.


4. Pudu Jail, Kuala Lumpur

Pudu Jail is Malaysia's oldest prison. It's said to house numerous restless spirits, whether they were wrongfully convicted or genuinely guilty, sentenced to death or life imprisonment. Despite the prison's demolition, its negative energy and tormented souls persisted for over a year. Many believe that the spirits of those who faced execution or were infamous criminals still haunt the place.


5. Karak Highway

The historic Karak Highway has witnessed several fatal accidents, leading some to call it the Highway of Ghosts. A well-known story involves a driverless yellow Volkswagen Beetle that slowly moves in front of your car at night. If you look, you'll find no driver inside. This phenomenon is said to repeat every few hundred meters.

Another story is about a "lost boy" who walks by the road. If you try talking to him, he'll ask, "Have you seen my mother?" Legend has it that he and his mother died in an accident on the highway, with his mother thrown out and him fatally injured by the windshield glass.


6. Exx Hotel, Penang

Most Penangites are aware that the famous E&O Hotel has resident ghosts. People advise not to be surprised if you see another person in the mirror, as they won't harm you.

The hotel's history is associated with four prominent spirits - Tegland, Martin, Aviet, and Arshak. They have been guests for a century, often seen dancing with champagne in the ancient ballroom.

7. Century-Old House at Bayan Lepas

This house in Relau Metropolitan Park supposedly has a haunted indoor swimming pool. One story involves a girl who committed suicide in the pool due to her parents' opposition to her relationship.

Another rumor claims two people drowned in the pool, one of whom was the son of the house's owner. Visitors have reported the smell of curry fish at 7 PM, strange sightings, and a temple nearby to appease the spirits.

8. Abandoned Bungalow on Jalan Turi, Bangsar

This place's ghostly reputation may be true. In 1992, a security guard brutally murdered two American children and a maid in the house. Their bodies were thrown into a pool behind the house.

Many believe the tortured spirits of the victims lingered in the house, with sightings of children's figures and remnants from the '80s. The house has been demolished, but the story remains.
